New Everton signing makes admission and explains transfer decision

Everton’s newest signing Jack Harrison has explained why he decided to make a move back to Sean Dyche’s side this summer.

Sean Dyche’s Everton are in for a busy summer transfer window with key players potentially on their way out of Goodison Park whilst the club may not have a lot of money to work with for incomings.

Harrison explains why he decided to rejoin Everton

Everton officially confirmed that Leeds United winger Jack Harrison would return to the Toffees this season on a year loan deal.

“It’s brilliant to be back,” Harrison told Everton’s club channels. “Everton is a great club, there is a fantastic group of lads here and I’m excited to get started again with a full pre-season of training.

“Last year, I had a lot of enjoyment at the club. We had to face a lot of adversity but we were able to continue on and have a good season overall.

“There are a lot of reasons for wanting to return to Everton. I think the club in general – the fans, the staff, the manager, my teammates – everyone made me feel really comfortable right away and that’s somewhere you want to be as a player. It’s a great place to play football.

“The other thing is I know I have a lot more to offer. That’s extra motivation for me to go back and prove to myself and to Everton Football Club that I can do more on the pitch. This season I’ll be able to have a full pre-season and hopefully hit the ground running.”

Dyche is a big fan of the Leeds United winger

Last season for the Merseyside club, Harrison scored three goals and provided three assists in the Premier League.

Dyche, speaking after the winger’s debut in the Carabao Cup, was full of praise for the Englishman and it’s easy to see why his stay at Goodison Park has been extended.

“I must say I think Jack Harrison has done fantastically well, he has only just had that game the other night with the development side and he said he felt fine, he said he was ready, and I believed him,” Dyche said, as per the Liverpool Echo.

“He looked ready, he was training freely. But to come in and play at this level with hardly any return to real football is very, very pleasing for me as a manager and him as a player. I was very impressed with him.”
