Bayern Munich legend Uli Hoeneß cracks on contract situation with Alphonso Davies

Bayern Munich legend Uli Hoeneß left no doubt on where things stand with the contract situation surrounding the club and star left-back Alphonso Davies, who has been courted by Real Madrid for almost a year now.

“We told him very clearly that if he doesn’t renew his contract, we will let it expire. He won’t get any more money,” Hoeneß said (as captured by Maximilian Koch

That statement could be troublesome to some fans (and maybe Davies’ camp as well) since the crux of the issue between Bayern Munich and Davies has been his salary.

Hoeneß, though, did get in a subtle dig on Davies by complimenting FC Barcelona stalwart Lamine Yamal.

“The way he does things – left and right. I wish Alphonso Davies could do that, too,” said Hoeneß
