Tricky away game against VfL Wolfsburg: Bayern Munich’s key dates for 2024/25 Bundesliga season

The Bundesliga fixture list for the 2024/25 season is out, and Bayern Munich will begin their campaign with a tricky away game against VfL Wolfsburg.

Vincent Kompany will be determined to guide Bayern Munich back to the top of the Bundesliga charts following the club’s disappointing third place finish last season. And the Bavarians will get their 2024/25 season underway with a trip to the Volkswagen Arena to take on VfL Wolfsburg (August 24/25).

The first home game of Bayern Munich’s 2024/25 season will take place on matchday 2 (August 30 – September 1) against SC Freiburg.

Bayern Munich will go up against reigning Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen on matchday five, with the Allianz Arena set to play host to the action (September 27-29). Xabi Alonso’s side will host the reverse fixture on matchday 22 (February 14-16).

Also on FC Bayern’s agenda will be to regain their superiority in Der Klassiker. Harry Kane and co. will head to the Signal Iduna Park to take on Borussia Dortmund on matchday 12 (November 29 – December 1). The two sides will then square off on matchday 29 in Munich (April 11-13, 2025).

Bayern will face a tough end to the season, as they travel to RB Leipzig on matchday 32 before going up against Borussia Mönchengladbach (home) and TSG Hoffenheim (away) in their final two games of the campaign.

The 2024/25 Bundesliga season will conclude on May 17. The winter break is scheduled to start on December 23, and the season will resume on January 10, 2025. With Bayern Munich not taking part in this year’s DFL-Supercup, their season opener will be against SSV Ulm in the DFB-Pokal first round on August 16.
