Club releases player to undergo West Ham medical exams as transfer sanctioned

Luis Guilherme is set to have medical tests after getting the go-ahead from Palmerias before a move to West Ham United, according to Nosso Palestra.

The Brazilian outlet has reported (5 June) that the Brazilian is “very close” to completing a move to the London Stadium ahead of the summer.

Guilherme has now been “released” by Palmerias and allowed to have a medical examination with the Hammers representatives.

It has been suggested that if all “goes as planned” then he will make the move to join West Ham in the Premier League ahead of the transfer window opening.

West Ham move closer to Luis Guilherme move

Tim Steidten has moved closer to confirming his first signing since taking full control after the departure of David Moyes at the end of the season.

This has seen him show an interest in the likes of Fabricio Bruno and Wesley Gassova without a move ever coming to fruition.

Now the Hammers look set to make their first signing before the window is officially open with Guilherme moving from the Serie A.

The forward can operate on either flank or through the centre and prefers to come in off the right-hand side and get a shot off where he can.

He has come through the Palmerias Academy alongside Endrick who has already sealed a move to Real Madrid after they secured a 15th Champions League title.

The 18-year-old could prove to be an elite player for the Hammers although it will take some time for him to realise his potential.
