If you watched Leicester City closely last season, you’ll know that the Foxes definitely need a new striker. This fact has been reinforced a few games into preseason. What did Steve Cooper reveal when asked specifically about the possibility of signing another goalscorer?

Attacker Kelechi Iheanacho has already left King Power Stadium this summer. Will another centre forward possibly exit LCFC over the offseason? Clubs are supposedly eyeing a move for one of the east Midlanders’ assest. Will Tom Cannon depart Filbert Way soon, or will he attempt to make his name in the Premier League with Leicester?

Jamie Vardy can still do the business but he needs help at Leicester City

If Cannon stays and cannot supply EPL goals, City require a separate understudy to Vardy. The same untold applies to Patson Daka, who was unimpressive on the whole when previously in the division.

“We need to see how Jamie is. He’s not with us at the moment. Pato’s (Daka) here and Tom (Cannon). We’re still working out that process.

Hopefully Jamie can get back as soon as possible because he looked so sharp before he had that knock. We all know what he can still offer and I’ve been enjoying working with him.

That’s where I am at the moment with that. It’s too difficult to say we definitely need this and definitely need that, because it’s about putting a jigsaw together where everybody clicks. We’ll see.”
