Evangelos Marinakis delivers message at Forest’s Spanish pre-season base

Evangelos Marinakis was in attendance as Forest concluded their pre-season camp in Spain with a fixture against Elche on Friday night.

Following Forest’s final game of their trip to Murcia, our owner spent an hour speaking to all players, including new signings Elliot Anderson, Eric da Silva Moreira, Nikola Milenković and Carlos Miguel, coaching and backroom staff, delivering a key message of unity and togetherness.

The address focussed on the value of the family bond and team spirit that has continued to strengthen within the group.  He emphasised the transformative power of unity and urged the group to fight, survive and win, with a collective promise to never give up.

Forest’s tight-knit squad have used the 10 days in Spain not only for working hard every day on the training pitch, but on nurturing a powerful team spirit and bond ahead of The Reds’ third successive Premier League campaign.

From demanding double training sessions in the heat of southern Spain, to recovery water polo sessions in the pool, our squad have developed a strong relationship and understanding as we set out to achieve our goals, overcome challenges and prepare to win heading into the new season.

After the match, Evangelos Marinakis had dinner with Head Coach Nuno EspĂrito Santo, Chief Football Officer Ross Wilson and Head of Football Operations Ed Henderson, discussing plans for the new season in meticulous detail.

The next meeting will come in Athens ahead of Forest’s final fixture of pre-season, against sister club and UEFA Europa Conference League winners Olympiacos on Thursday 8th August.
