Tottenham drop major team news hint as Ange Postecoglou eyes Nottingham Forest challenge

Ange Postecoglou and Steve Cooper have both only picked up just four points from their last six Premier League games

Prior to their matchup with Nottingham Forest, Tottenham Hotspur has revealed a mysterious piece of team news. Ange Postecoglou will be welcomed to the City Ground by Steve Cooper on Friday night as both teams want to move up the Premier League during the holiday season.

Spurs enter the match fresh from a 4-1 victory over Newcastle United, which was secured by goals from Richarlison, Destiny Udogie, and a late penalty from Son Heung-min. The North Londoners, who have only collected four points out of a potential 18, have lately fallen out of the top four.

However, Postecoglou will be eager to generate some much-needed momentum because Tottenham’s victory over the Magpies broke a five-game losing streak. With just four points from their previous six Premier League games, Forest has also had difficulty.

Postecoglou is poised to hurl the kitchen sink at Cooper on Friday night, though. The team’s pre-match poster features Cristian Romero, Ben Davies, Dejan Kulusevski, Udogie, Richarlison, and Son. It was posted on Facebook, Instagram, and X, formerly known as Twitter.

It does not guarantee that they will begin, but historically speaking, it does imply that they will be involved in some way. Postecoglou discussed the strain Cooper is under ahead of what could be a season-defining match for Forest, whose manager faces an uncertain future.

“You consider everything in its context,” the manager of Tottenham remarked. It doesn’t seem to have much of an impact on us. Regardless of where they are in their own trajectory, I believe it’s fair to say that every team playing at Forest knows it will be a tough game.

“Although the results haven’t been great this year, they’re still very difficult to beat at home.” Since every game is close, you can be sure that this one will be difficult. We were on a worse run than anyone else was a week earlier, and we prevailed 4-1. These things are always sort of balanced out by you.

“You could get into the trap of believing that something is going wrong, that they’re under pressure, or that they won’t be performing to their full potential. That is not something you can assume. You have to expect them to be playing at their peak and to be formidable opponents at home.”
