David Prutton predicts Sunderland vs Leeds United match, expecting three goals

David Prutton has shared his prediction for Leeds United’s trip to Sunderland this evening.

The Whites will be looking to make it four wins in a row when they visit the Stadium of Light having beaten Swansea City, Middlesbrough and Blackburn Rovers in their last three.

Dan James and Crysencio Summerville, who now have seven and nine goals respectively, both found the net on Saturday, demonstrating how well Daniel Farke is using his attacking potential.

Nevertheless, Leeds will be missing one of their most important defenders, Sam Byram, when they travel to Wearside; however, this may give Djed Spence the chance to start for the first time, although as a left-back.

Although Tony Mowbray was fired last week, leaving Sunderland without a manager, the team defeated West Brom convincingly over the weekend.

Prutton believes Leeds will triumph.
Prutton has selected Leeds to win another game and maintain pressure on the two teams above them in his most recent EFL prediction column for Sky Sports.

He declared: “Sunderland won their first game since Tony Mowbray’s departure with a fantastic display against West Brom.” Can they carry that energy into their match against Leeds?

“United is taking off right now. They are scoring goals for fun and have a ton of attacking skill. This is going to be a great game, and I think Daniel Farke’s team will win. Leeds 1-2 Sunderland is the prediction.
