Manchester City are said to be leading Real Madrid and Barcelona in the race to sign Claudio Echeverri, who has been dubbed ‘the next Lionel Messi’.

Argentina’s Echeverri, a revelation from River Plate, is reportedly the top pick for Manchester City, the defending Premier League winners. The Cityzens are expected to win the transfer race because of their positive relationship with River Plate following the 2022 sale of Julian Alvarez, despite interest from numerous other elite European teams, including Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and Barcelona, according to the Mirror.
