“Will help them”: A sports finance specialist projects Nottingham Forest’s point deduction.

Sports finance expert Dr Rob Wilson has predicted how many points he thinks Nottingham Forest will get deducted.

The figure has been speaking to I News.

So, what has the man in the know with these types of things said about Forest? Let’s take a closer look at the situation…

Dr Rob Wilson predicts how many points Nottingham Forest will lose

Well, this is a situation that could be coming to a head soon with Forest having their case heard this week.

The Reds face an anxious wait to discover what their punishment will be and a points deduction could be seriously detrimental.

Everton saw their 10-point deduction reduced to six on appeal and Forest will be allowed to appeal any punishment they face.

Wilson doesn’t think that Forest will face any worse than what Everton did and has predicted how many points will be taken off.

He told I News: “I don’t think it will be bigger than what Everton’s was, I think it’ll be more like half. I reckon they will get three or four points.

“The mitigation will be the Brennan Johnson case, just as Everton were able to prove they’ve had a low net spend over the past few years because of the big net spent they’d had previously.

“Forest will point to the fact that they did sell Brennan Johnson and that sale has brought them back into compliance – assuming it has done. That will help them ultimately. You’ve removed that sporting advantage through that particular player.”

Wilson comments are interesting to say the least

The sports finance expert does have experience when it comes to this sort of thing and that bodes well.

Forest will hope that Nick De Marco can work his magic and get Forest off as lightly as possible.

The Reds will have to learn from this incident and if the club stays in the Premier League, they must work more meticulously in the market.

It’s refreshing to hear someone of Wilson’s ilk talk about Forest.

Too many pundits can’t be impartial and hopefully, it is no more than the three or four points that he has predicted.
