Bruno Jordao, a midfield player, has been granted permission to leave Wolverhampton Wanderers effective immediately.
Jordao and Pedro Neto, two relatively unknown Portuguese footballers at the time, were the two that moved to Molineux in 2019.

But while Neto has gone on to become a vital member of the Wolves team, Jordao’s experiences with the West Midlands team have been very different.

Just five senior appearances for Wolves would be made by the former Portugal Under-21 international, with the exception of one game in 2019–20.

On the last day of that coronavirus-hit season, Jordao made his only Premier League appearance, playing the final 12 minutes of a loss to Chelsea.

Since then, he has primarily worked with three different clubs in Africa: FC Zurich, Santa Clara, and Famalicao.

Over the course of his three loan stints, Jordao made 34 games in all; he most recently made 11 appearances for Santa Clara in Primeira Liga.

However, the 25-year-old has spent the current season playing for Wolves Under-21s, appearing in eight Premier League 2 games and two EFL Trophy games.

When Wolves actively sought to lower their salary cost in January, they had planned to find Jordao a new club.

In order to give Jordao the opportunity to find a new team, Wolves have decided to mutually terminate his contract, even though a suitable offer has not materialized.
