Leicester City Join Southampton In Hunt For Premier League Player

According to Sky Sports, Leicester City has joined Southampton in its pursuit of Liverpool offensive midfielder Fabio Carvalho, with the Foxes considering a loan.

Carvalho is going back to England after his loan stint with RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga did not work out.

He won’t be staying at Anfield for the second half of the season, so Liverpool will send him out on loan once more in an effort to get him consistent playing time.

Leicester is also interested in signing the midfield player, so Russell Martin’s Southampton will have competition.

Currently leading the Championship standings, the Foxes think Carvalho would be a great acquisition.

Liverpool are tipped to want guarantees over game time for the midfielder after his dismal time in Germany.

Carvalho himself will also need to be persuaded of the merits of any destination.

Like Leicester, Southampton, who now occupy third position in the Championship, is vying for an immediate promotion back to the Premier League.
