A Happy, Safe & Prosperous Sky Blue New Year To All Our Readers!

Everyone at the Association would like to congratulate all readers of this blog (and through it) all our members and Sky Blue supporters everywhere a happy new year on this New Year’s Eve, following such a turbulent and, at times, downright crazy 2023.

“Happy, Prosperous, Safe & Healthy 2024”

Fortunately, Mark Robins’ team is now well-established in the Championship, and the club’s future is, reassuringly, in the capable hands of a formidable new proprietor. We at Sky Blue Family are confident that everyone who can have a direct impact on the future of our Coventry City team, club, and Arena will continue to act with common sense and kindness in order to realize the Sky Blues’ dream of winning back the top division, which we so nearly lost last season.

We also wish them the best of luck in making sure the Sky Blues have the tools needed to bolster MR’s team come January transfer window!

With the new squad members settling in and getting a feel for the team’s playing style, let’s keep building on the positive momentum from the team’s “near miss” from the previous season and the consistently strong performances in the first half of the current Championship campaign! Everyone is hoping that “Team Sky Blue” will have an incredible second half of the season, scoring a ton of points and winning a ton of games to go as close to the top of the League and the playoffs as possible!

We are grateful to all of the former players, associate members, committee members, sponsors, patrons, and members of the amazing Sky Blue family who have contributed to the CCFPA’s ability to uphold its high standards despite the unique challenges of the past few years. We also extend a warm welcome to everyone who has joined us in the past 12 months.

We also take a moment to pay tribute to all of the loved ones in the larger Sky Blue extended family who passed away in the previous year and who will only be able to participate in the new year’s journey from the comfort of “Sky Blue Heaven.”
