Pulisic on Milan attacking roles and need for ‘intensity’ against Parma

Christian Pulisic wants Milan to provide ‘more pressure and intensity’ against Parma, while insisting he feels good in various different attacking positions for the Rossoneri.

It kicks off at the Stadio Tardini at 17.30 UK time (16.30 GMT).

You can follow all the build-up and action as it happens from this game, Udinese–Lazio, Inter-Lecce and Monza-Genoa on the LIVEBLOG.

Not only is Parma-Milan airing on CBS Sports and Paramount+, but for the first time ever an Italian league football match will air live on regular broadcast television, showing on CBS.

The Rossoneri began their campaign with a 2-2 draw against Torino, fighting back from 2-0 down, so the pressure is already on new coach Paulo Fonseca.

Pulisic a versatile Milan figure

“We had a really good pre-season, some good matches. The first game of course we didn’t get the result, but we have positives, we want to give a bit more pressure and intensity in the games and now it’s time to win some games,” Pulisic told DAZN.

The American had featured on the wing for most of his first season in Serie A, but in the opening round of this term he was shifted into a ‘trequartista’ position behind the striker.

This evening, Pulisic is again wide right to make way for Ruben Loftus-Cheek in a more advanced role. Which does he prefer?

“Last year I played more in this wide position, but I can do both. We have a lot of options, some new players as well who can play in midfield or the wing.

“I feel good in any of the attacking positions and hope I can help the team.”

The former Chelsea star scored 12 goals and provided nine Serie A assists in his first 36 Serie A appearances, so how many goals does he expect to get this term?

“That’s difficult to say. I’ll try to score today and hopefully it will continue like this!”
