A new contract was reached between Tottenham and one of their most talented young players.

Jamie Donley had consented to better terms that extend his existing deal, which was set to expire in 2027. According to reports, the new contract extends Donley’s tenure until 2028 and marks a significant turning point in his budding career.

This contract not only guarantees the 19-year-old’s place in Tottenham’s long-term plans, but it also demonstrates the club’s high regard for his development and potential. Donley, who enrolled in Tottenham’s youth academy in 2013 at the age of eight, has excelled in all aspects of his performance.

In November 2020, he scored his first goal for the Spurs Under-18 squad against Leicester City. The teenage attacker hasn’t stopped impressing since then, displaying both his playmaking and goal-scoring abilities. Donley’s growth has happened quickly. He made 10 appearances in the Under-18 Premier League in 2020–21, scoring three goals, which helped the squad win the Under-17 and Under-18 leagues.

He shown even more of his attacking ability in the previous season, making 27 games in all competitions, scoring 8 goals and dishing out 17 assists. Alasdair Gold claimed that the club has chosen to loan him to Leyton Orient in order to improve his development.
