Barcelona turn to Bayern Munich winger as they are frustrated in Nico Williams transfer pursuit

Barcelona turned to Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman after being left frustrated in their pursuit of Nico Williams.

Barcelona have been linked with a move for the young Spanish attacker all through the summer, however, Athletic Club recently dropped a hint that the winger would stay put. The Catalan giants are looking to bolster their squad ahead of the 2024/25 season and are desperate to add another attacker alongside Dani Olmo.

Now Fabrizio Romano reports that the Blaugrana have started discussing alternative names and could turn to the out-of-favour Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman. The Bavarian club have already informed the Frenchman that he has been deemed surplus to Vincent Kompany’s demands and is free to leave Allianz Arena this summer.

While Coman does have offers from multiple clubs in Europe including Paris Saint-Germain, he could consider moving to Camp Nou as manager Hansi Flick is known to be an admirer of the player.

WHAT NEXT FOR BARCELONA?

Flick’s side will be next seen in action on Monday against AS Monaco in the Joan Gamper Trophy final before starting their La Liga season against Valencia on Saturday.
