Vincent Kompany makes ‘dangerous’ Liverpool claim and responds to Jürgen Klopp VAR frustration

Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, was perplexed by the decision to rule out Harvey Elliott’s goal against Burnley. In response, Vincent Kompany complimented the Reds.

Burnley manager Vincent Kompany was on the losing side against Liverpool.

In the Premier League on Tuesday, Burnley’s manager Vincent Kompany asserted that his team posed a “danger” to Liverpool despite their 2-0 loss. However, the Reds’ bad finishing and decision-making in the last third was the only thing that saved the Clarets.

After the final whistle, the Burnley manager told Amazon Prime Video, “We were a little too open in the first half.” “Despite not finding the final ball or making the proper play, we were still a threat in transition situations.

“At times, we were in numbers counter-attacking. The difference is how they scored the goal, we weren’t able to do the same thing. We kept being dangerous and we had a chance. If that goes in then it is 1-1 but unfortunately, the game opens up and they are so good in those moments.”

Concerning the rejected Harvey Elliott goal, Kompany was also questioned. The goalie, who was not likely to save the shot anyhow, was pushed into Mohamed Salah’s line, thus Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp was not happy that an offside call was made. Dan Walker, an Amazon host, questioned Kompany about his opinion.

“Are you asking me to be non-biased?” The former captain of Manchester City answered. For me, it’s a bigger picture conversation. We’ve had numerous conversations in which things seemed to be working against us at the time.
