On Thursday night, when Liverpool plays Union Saint-Gilloise in their last Europa League group stage match, Jurgen Klopp will switch between positions. Such a starting lineup would have an average age of only 21.5 years (Kelleher; Bradley, Gomez, Quansah, Chambers; Endo, Elliott, McConnell; Doak, Gakpo, Gordon). But that would mean a good night’s sleep for the majority of those anticipated to play United.
