Pedro Neto sends message to Liverpool as Juventus drop Federico Chiesa transfer hint

Liverpool have been linked with a number of wingers this summer and Arne Slot has been handed enlightening updates on two potential options.

With less than a month left in the transfer window, Arne Slot has yet to make his first signing as Liverpool manager. The new head coach is wary to make any premature transfer moves until he has evaluated his entire squad after all senior players have returned for pre-season.

The club has yet to make its first window sale, but that may change before long. According to the ECHO, Joe Gomez was set to join Newcastle for ÂŁ45 million as part of a ÂŁ75 million exchange deal involving Anthony Gordon before talks fell down.

Uncertainty now looms over the defender’s future as a result, while speculation continues to link Liverpool with other options on the wing, after the club’s failure to land Gordon. Liverpool feel they have enough options on the left but there is chatter over who will ultimately be Mohamed Salah’s successor ahead of a possible exit next summer. Two wingers have been linked throughout this window.

Neto answers transfer question

Liverpool have been connected with an unlikely move for Pedro Neto. The Portugal playmaker has been asked about his future at Wolves this summer amid intense speculation over his future at Molineux.

As per journalist Nathan Judah, he appeared evasive, saying: “I love this club; I’m really happy to be here and take this team to another level.” Neto has three years left on his Wolves deal.

The winger has been plagued by injury in recent seasons, with hamstring issues limiting his number of outings to just 24. The attacker is able to play on both flanks but has been mostly used on the right.

Question to Pedro? Are you staying next season?

Neto: I love this club, I’m really happy to be here and take this team to another level
