West Ham United closing in on Bayern Munich versatile player as principle terms agreed: View

HITC sources have confirmed that West Ham are advancing in talks with Bayern Munich for Noussair Mazraoui.

The Hammers are inching closer to completing a deal for the 26-year-old and terms over a prospective deal have been agreed in principle.

West Ham made a new right-back a priority this summer and Noussair Mazraoui emerged as the first choice of Hammers technical director Tim Steidten.

HITC previously revealed that Mazraoui had been offered to both West Ham and Tottenham with Bayern telling him he was free to leave this summer.

Talks had taken place with Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters and Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka, but progress over both deals slowed and the Irons have now turned their attention towards Mazraoui.

Manchester United had also been keeping tabs on Mazraoui’s situation as he is a player that Erik Ten Hag appreciates – but they never opened talks as they only wanted a right-back if they parted company with Wan-Bissaka this summer.

Talks between West Ham and Bayern Munich are progressing with the two clubs now in negotiations over a transfer fee.

HITC understands that Bayern want a deal worth around ÂŁ16million to part ways with the former Ajax right-back.

West Ham have told HITC that nothing has been agreed with Bayern, but talks are continuing as they push to get a deal over the line.

If a deal for Mazraoui is finalised, he will join up with the West Ham squad on their pre-season tour of the United States.

Lopetegui’s side are set to face Premier League rivals Wolves on Saturday before continuing their summer preparations with games against Crystal Palace and Celta Vigo.
