Coventry City sign Winnie the therapy dog to help vulnerable people
|A very cuddly, four-legged signing has been made by Coventry City and the Sky Blues in the Community…The therapy dog Winnie!
Johnny Szyndler, the Community Wellbeing Manager, has enlisted the five-year-old Cavapoo to offer vulnerable individuals utilizing the program “therapeutic and emotional support.”
“I first witnessed the use of therapy dogs when I went to Birmingham Children’s Hospital a few years ago,” stated Johnny Szyndler. Observing the profound impact a dog had on the spirits of these young children going through really painful circumstances opened my eyes to the potential benefits of animal therapy.
According to Coventry City, Winnie has been a big hit with participants, employees, and management alike.
Winnie welcomes visitors with open arms, and in exchange, you can get a snuggle from her!
