Leicester City tell club they’re making offer for defender – Foxes set to outbid competition
|Leicester City is unwilling to concede the chase for Lucas Beraldo, the defender for São Paulo.
It was recently announced that Zenit had made a €18 million transfer offer for the midfielder, in response to reports that the Foxes were interested in him.
Leicester City has reportedly informed São Paulo that they will outbid the Russian side, according to UOL.
The Foxes are rumored to have not yet disclosed their offer amount, but the Championship team is anticipated to meet the Tricolor’s minimum €20 million demand for the player.
As a result, Beraldo “should leave” São Paulo as soon as possible. According to recent reports from Brazil, the defender’s staff isn’t too excited about a transfer to Leicester City because they think he could get something better than a Championship club. On the other hand, it does appear that only the Foxes and Zenit are in the running right now, and as things stand, Enzo Maresca’s team has a very good chance of being in the Premier League next season.
