Crystal Palace ‘agreed’ their second summer signing after confirming

Riad joins Palace following an impressive season on loan at Real Betis, where he featured 30 times in all competitions and played an integral role in Manuel Pellegrini’s side.

Palace chairman Steve Parish said in a statement: “As a full international at just 20 years old, Chadi is an exciting young player who we are delighted to be able to welcome to the club. His arrival adds quality to a squad already packed with talent and potential, and I look forward to seeing him contribute to the team this season and beyond.”

Eagles line up second signing

With the announcement of Riad out of the way, the club is set to announce the arrival of Japanese midfielder Daichi Kamada. Kamada worked with manager Oliver Glasner in Germany, and together they won the Europa Conference League at Eintracht Frankfurt.

LondonWorld sources have said the deal has been agreed upon for the midfielder, and his announcement will follow shortly. This is an exciting time for Palace fans who saw the team finish the season in grand style, winning six of their last seven games and finishing above Brighon for the first time in three seasons.

“The deal is agreed and will be announced after Riad. We are going to have at least two players in every position and if we lost a player it would not affect the quality the of the team,” a club source said.

The manner of the wins has also raised expectations, as the players took to the playing style Oliver Glasner introduced like a duck to water. They are expected to at least challenge for another top-half finish next season, even if they lose Michael Olise to other Premier League sides.
