West Ham to rubber-stamp summer transfer in next 48 hours – report

West Ham United are expected to rubber-stamp the summer signing of Luis Guilherme by Thursday 13 June, according to GiveMeSport.

The outlet reported on its website on Tuesday (11 June) that should all go to plan with the Brazilian youngster’s medical, a deal to bring him to the London Stadium this summer can be sealed in the coming days.

With the transfer being completed so early in the summer transfer window, it would mean that the teenager can enjoy a full pre-season with his new club ahead of the start of next term.

Reports have suggested that Guilherme’s medical has taken place on Tuesday [Dharmesh Sheth, 11 June] and the suggestion from sources close to the club is that so far there have been little not issues with the player.

When will West Ham United confirm the summer signing of Luis Guilherme?

It may have only rumbled on for a couple of weeks, but it feels like West Ham’s quest to sign Guilherme this summer has been a summer-long saga as the deal has constantly been on then off as everyone agreed terms.

Ultimately, it now seems like everything is heading in the right direction for the Hammers to get their man and barring any late slip-ups, this deal should be rubber-stamped with contracts signed in no more than 48 hours.

Once that deal is over the line, Julen Lopetegui and Tim Steidten will quickly move on to new targets as it is understood that the Hammers want to add to their squad in a variety of other areas before pre-season gets underway.

Hopefully, every other deal they pursue over the coming months will be much easier to conclude than this one has been, otherwise, it could be a very long and frustrating summer for everyone at the London Stadium, including supporters.

But first, Irons fans will be waiting for a picture of Guilherme in a shirt and an official here we go from Fabrizio Romano.
