Pablo Fornals sends message as West Ham United transfer news announced

Pablo Fornals has sent a one-word message after West Ham announced that Angelo Ogbonna is set to leave the club.

It was confirmed via the club’s official website on Wednesday (5 June) that Ogbonna will say goodbye to the London Stadium when his contract expires on 30 June.

West Ham posted a video via their official Instagram (5 June) thanking the defender for his time at the club.

And among the many comments was Ogbonna’s former teammate, Fornals, who wrote “Fratteloneeeee” which translates to “big brother” in English.

Pablo Fornals and Angelo Ogbonna will forever be linked to West Ham United

Plenty of players come and go at football clubs around the world.

There will be a lot of forgotten players who have featured for the Hammers.

However, Ogbonna and Fornals will always be tied to the London Stadium.

Both played a big part in helping the club lift the UEFA Europa Conference League under David Moyes.

It was perhaps the Hammers’ most memorable night of the modern era, and supporters will always be grateful to those who played a part.

Ogbonna’s confirmed departure, and Fornals’ subsequent message, act as a reminder that the Moyes era has well and truly come to an end.

All eyes are now on Julen Lopetegui.

The Spaniard will hope to build a team which can compete in Europe once again.

That will mean new players brought to the club who align with Lopetegui’s vision.

But no matter how much changes in East London, Ogbonna will always be remembered.
