Nottingham Forest make contact to sign £4m Bayern Munich player

Nottingham Forest have now made contact to sign a player from Bayern Munich – and Vincent Kompany is happy to let him leave the Allianz Arena.

Despite finishing eight points behind the Garibaldi and consequently taking Burnley back into the Championship, the Belgian has landed a job as Thomas Tuchel’s replacement in Bavaria.

One of Kompany’s first tasks will be to trim his squad at Bayern Munich, which could now see a player join Nottingham Forest – albeit only on loan at first…

Nottingham Forest make contact to sign Daniel Peretz

Who Is New Bayern Munich Goalkeeper Daniel Peretz?

A story from BILD in Germany now claims that Nottingham Forest have enquired about Bayern Munich No.18 Daniel Peretz.

Kompany’s side are said to admire the Israel international, but feel he needs regular playing time elsewhere as he sits behind Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich in the pecking order.

BILD believe Nottingham Forest are just one of many sides to have shown a desire to sign Peretz, with Celtic, Sevilla, Real Betis, Villarreal, Anderlecht and Copenhagen getting in touch with Bayern Munich as well.

Therefore, Ross Wilson certainly has a fight on his hands to sign the Tel Aviv-born glovesman this summer.

Despite his role as third choice last season, Peretz – who Bayern Munich signed from Maccabi Tel Aviv for €5m (£4m) – still made two appearances for the German giants, keeping two clean sheets.

Bayern Munich would surely want assurances

As aforesaid, Bayern Munich want Peretz to receive plenty of playing time during his proposed loan away from Bavaria, so the Bundesliga outfit would surely want assurances over guaranteed minutes.

That would surely mean Nuno Espirito Santo may have to bench Matz Sels – who only arrived at the City Ground in January – or regularly rotate the Belgium international with Peretz, something we can’t really see happening.

Therefore, unless Bayern Munich agree to let the Israeli join Nottingham Forest initially as a backup option – rather than demand he starts immediately – we doubt this transfer will materialise.
