‘Disrespectful’! The Esk reacts to current Everton takeover update with 45% admission made.

The Esk believes that Crystal Palace co-owner John Textor is being disrespectful with his public comments over interest in purchasing Everton.

Paul, from the Esk, who is an expert on all things finances related to the Toffees, believes that nobody wants to buy Textor’s 45 per cent stake at Palace as it will come without any control.

The American billionaire needs to sell his stake in the London club before he can buy another Premier League club.

Esk wrote: “Just to add to my earlier comments on talkSPORT regarding Textor, how disrespectful is he being to Crystal Palace’s fans, players, staff & his fellow shareholders in saying what he has said. He’s obviously entitled to sell his Palace shares if he can but to come out beforehand is so lacking in respect.

“The proof is he is a 45% shareholder in Palace. His shares have been marketed for months, no one wants a 45% stake with no control.”

John Textor appears to have legitimate interest in buying Everton

Textor’s public comments about his interest in purchasing the Toffees have indeed raised eyebrows and drawn criticism.

The American’s decision to publicly express his interest before selling his stake in Crystal Palace has been viewed as disrespectful by some, including the Esk.

In some quarters, Textor’s actions might be perceived as hasty or disrespectful, given that he hasn’t yet successfully sold his stake in Crystal Palace.

However, it’s also worth considering that Textor’s public comments could be a strategic move to gauge interest and potential support for a future bid for Everton.

By making his intentions public, Textor could be testing the waters and signalling his seriousness about acquiring the Toffees, once he is in a position to do so.

This could explain why he chose to make his interest public, even before finalising the sale of his stake in Crystal Palace
