Rangers transfer position priorities revealed as Philippe Clement outlines targets

The Ibrox outfit won’t spend mass sums but do have plans to add to their ranks In January, Rangers will look to add to their roster as Philippe Clement plans to bring in a left-back and a new striker.

Football Scotland is aware that the Ibrox organization hopes to bolster the two spots as Clement looks to add players of his own to the team he took over from Michael Beale. Borna Barisic is the only natural left-sided defender remaining in the team after it has been reported that Ridvan Yilmaz has been advised he can go should interested parties approach the club.

Cyriel Dessers, meanwhile, has struggled for the club since arriving in the summer while Danilo faces an anxious wait regarding surgery over an injury issue expected to rule him out for a while

That leaves the club short up top and Football Scotland’s sources have intimated that Clement and new director of recruitment Nils Koppen are prioritising those two spaces for now.

It is believed the club won’t pay over the odds and could even consider loan swoops when the window opens next month.
