‘I see some of their games’ – Manchester United ace delivers verdict on Coventry City ahead of FA Cup semi-final

Coventry City will be ‘tough’ opponents for Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-final, Bruno Fernandes has said.
Coventry City will take on the Red Devils at Wembley next month with a place in the final at stake for the winner.

The Sky Blues beat Wolves in the quarter-final over the weekend after goals following a dramatic late turnaround.

Fernandes, who helped United beat Liverpool 4-3 at Old Trafford to reach the final four, has delivered his verdict on Mark Robins’ side, as per his club’s It is a tough game. I see some some of their games because my chef at home is a Sunderland fan, so I get to see some Championship games sometimes with him at home.

“So for some spells they have good players on the ball. They are really difficult to play against physically. We saw it against Wolves.

“They won the game in three minutes I think, 97 and 90 plus 10, something like that. So we know what to expect and we can’t be getting there and be surprised for what they’re going to bring to us.”

Coventry’s clash against Manchester United is something to look forward to for their supporters.

They get to go down to Wembley again as their team look to shock Erik ten Hag’s men.

However, the Sky Blues remain in with a strong shout of getting into the Championship play-offs and have some big games in the league coming up after the international break.

They need to ensure that they don’t get distracted by the cup and focus all of their energy on their matches that are coming up.

Coventry will take a lot of confidence from their win at Wolves and their comeback showed that they have a lot of character in their ranks.

They are currently sat in 8th position in the table and are four points off the play-offs with nine fixtures left to play.

The Sky Blues also have a game in-hand on 6th place Norwich City. Up next is an away trip to relegation threatened Huddersfield Town on Good Friday, followed by a home clash against Cardiff City on Easter Monday as they look to keep their momentum going now.

Manchester United will be well aware of the threats that Robins’ men possess. The Red Devils reached the FA Cup final last year but were beaten by rivals Manchester City as they went on to win the treble.
