Unai Emery, the manager of Aston Villa, has made his assessment of Morgan Gibbs-White, an attacking midfielder for Nottingham Forest.

What has Aston Villa manager Unai Emery stated regarding Morgan Gibbs-White, a standout for Nottingham Forest? Let’s examine this.

Unai Emery praises Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White

Well, Aston Villa will take on Nottingham Forest at Villa Park in the Premier League on Saturday.

This season, Nuno’s Forest wants to stay out of the Championship, while Unai Emery’s Villa wants to place in the top four of the league standings.

With 49 points from 25 games, the Villans sit fourth in the Premier League standings, while Forest is four points clear of the relegation zone.

Villa will start the game against Forest with the superior squad, but boss Unai Emery is mindful of the threat the Reds provide, particularly from offensive midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White.

Gibbs-White has made 22 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for Forest this season. He has scored two goals and given four assists in those games.

Emery told Villa’s official website: “I respect them a lot – their coach and players. They were very, very competitive before when we played there (The City Ground) and they won.

“They are still being very, very competitive, with fresh energy from the new coach. He’s an experienced coach and tactically very good.

“They are playing trying to have a strong defensive structure and with very good transition with their wingers, with Morgan Gibbs-White and their striker.

“They are trying to improve, keeping ball possession and control the game, playing combinations. Tomorrow will be very, very difficult. My respect is for the players, the coach and for their strong tactical structure.”

My View: Morgan Gibbs-White could help Nottingham Forest beat Aston Villa

In my opinion, Morgan Gibbs-White could play a big role for Nottingham Forest against Aston Villa.

Although many analysts are tipping Villa to defeat Forest, I believe the Reds can triumph at Villa.

Additionally, I think Gibbs-White will be very important to the Reds. The former Wolverhampton Wanderers player, who is valued at £25 million (Sky Sports), is expected to start as the team’s main creator and pose a threat to Villa.
