Johnny Manziel Reveals A Regret About His Time In Cleveland

At one point in time, Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel was on top of the football world, as every time he got on the gridiron, it was must-see TV for football fans, as he was electrifying during his time at Texas A&M.

As a result of his incredible run with the Aggies, Manziel made the jump to the NFL level and was ultimately selected by the Cleveland Browns with the No. 22 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Unfortunately for Cleveland, things quickly fell apart in this partnership with Manziel, leading to the team parting ways with him after only 14 games played in a Browns uniform.

On the Club Shay Shay podcast recently, Manziel opened up about his time in Cleveland and how he disrespected then-Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James along the way.

“The way I carried myself during my time in Cleveland was pure and blatant disrespect to them for giving me everything that I could’ve ever needed to be successful. … I regret disrespecting LeBron,” Manziel said.

Even though Manziel has become a cautionary tale for professional athletes, he once had it all and let it all fall to pieces while burning bridges along the way.

Fortunately, it seems as though Manziel has come to terms with mistakes and is a better man for it, but whether his relationship with James can be mended remains to be seen.
