What has Ashley Williams stated on Taiwo Awoniyi, the striker for Nottingham Forest? Let’s examine this.

Regarding Nottingham Forest vs. West Ham United, praise for Taiwo Awoniyi
Well, Nottingham Forest defeated West Ham United 2-0 on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League at the City Ground.

In first-half injury time, Taiwo Awoniyi scored Forest’s first goal in the fifth minute. The help came from Nicolás Domínguez.

In the second period, in the fourth minute of injury time, Callum Hudson-Odoi gave the home team a 2-0 lead. Anthony Elanga provided the help.

After Kalvin Phillips, who had joined on loan from Manchester City during the January transfer window, was sent off, the Hammers were down to 71 minutes.

The way that the £17.5 million (Sky Sports) Awoniyi scored his goal delighted BBC Sport analyst Ashley Williams, who was watching the game.

Williams stated, “Watching it back, it’s a good finish from Taiwo Awoniyi,” on BBC One’s Final Score. West Ham will be frustrated because he has good touch and slots it away on the half turn.

My View: Big win for Nottingham Forest

I thought Nottingham Forest would prevail. I predicted Nuno’s team to defeat West Ham United by a slim margin on these pages.

And as it happened, Forest won the Premier League match 2-0 at the City Ground against West Ham.

A significant victory for the Reds. With the three points, Forest’s prospects of avoiding the inevitable relegation to the Championship have grown.

Forest currently sits fifteenth in the Premier League standings after twenty-five games played.

Nuno’s team is currently five points clear of the drop zone. Next weekend, they will play Aston Villa away from home at Villa Park in the Premier League.
