Philippe Clement reveals he demanded Rangers team night out

The details of the Rangers team night out that he insisted his players attend have been revealed by Philippe Clement.

The 49-year-old Belgian has performed admirably since coming to Ibrox in October of last year.

With the Light Blues destroying Celtic’s previous seven-point lead in the Premiership, he has completely changed the team’s on-field performance.

Tomorrow night, the Rangers take on Ross County at home in their matchup with the champions. If they triumph by two goals or more, they will pass their fiercest rivals in Glasgow at the top of the league.

In December, Clement also put an end to the team’s 12-year quest for League Cup glory, defeating Aberdeen 1-0 at Hampden.

He’s previously been open about his players developing strong bonds.

He has now revealed details of his “wonderful” changing room and how, a few weeks ago, he took his team out for a night on the town.

“We’ve been working on that,” he stated. A few weeks prior, I even made it clear that I wanted them to go out together, and they did, having a great time.

“It was a lot of fun two days after also when it was training! Those are things also very important – the connection between people is so crucial.

“They must depend on one another in addition to working hard together. When someone commits a mistake, they must be there for them. Therefore, maintaining these human interactions is crucial, and in that sense, it’s currently an incredible dressing room.

“Also – the new players have said it already, it’s also really nice place to come into for the moment.”

In a press conference today, Clement stated that Leon Balogun has been training with a protective mask on, and Ryan Jack would not play in the County match.
