Posting a picture of himself arriving at a deserted City Ground, Reyna posted: “So excited to be here! Can’t wait to get started! Let’s gooo.”
Quick to reply were Pulisic with a motivational “Let’s get it bro.”
Former Dortmund team-mate Bellingham chimed in with a simple: “Brother,” alongside a heart emoji.
Timothy Weah, Matt Miazga and Folarin Balogun all wished their USMNT team-mate good luck with the move.
Reyna’s switch is one of the more interesting decisions made in what has otherwise been a quiet winter transfer season. It remains to be seen if the American can find the consistency he so desperately needs at a team where aggressive recruitment has resulted in a large number of players coming and going in recent windows. Forest might have pulled off a major upset if Reyna can work well with Anthony Elanga and the gifted Morgan Gibbs-White. They are not required to sign the athlete permanently if that is not the case.
