Leeds may approve the “exciting” youngster’s permanent sale next summer.

The Whites will consider an exit for good once he returns from a loan spell. According to a recent report, Leeds United may approve the long-term sale of one of their gifted young players next summer. Leeds’s summertime exits

During the previous transfer window, the Whites made the decision to let go of 15 players in total, five of whom were permanent. The other ten were, depending on the player, either placed in the shop window or sent out on loan to gain more experience and game time.

In addition, Jamie Shackleton, Luke Ayling, Liam Cooper, Stuart Dallas, Lewis Bate, Sam Byram, Ian Poveda, and Luke Ayling are under contract with Leeds United and could be heading out the door at the end of the season.

Leo Hjelde, a left-back who spent the second half of the previous campaign on loan with Championship rivals, is another player in the squad who may be heading to new pastures. Hjelde hasn’t left the kind of impression he was hoping for.

Since the beginning of the new season, Norway’s youth international has only made one start in the second division (WhoScored – Hjelde statistics). As a result, while it’s likely that the 20-year-old will secure another temporary exit in January, he may be heading out of the game permanently the following summer.

Presumably, Leeds will sell Leo Hjelde

The Express reports that Leeds will likely sell Hjelde permanently at the end of this season because he was unable to establish a regular position under Farke.

“It had been anticipated that, after making an impression during his time away from Elland Road, his Leeds career would now take off, but he was replaced at halftime in United’s first two games and has not appeared again. A permanent move away in the summer and another loan are both tempting.

The 49ers and Farke should cut Hjelde.
Although Hjelde has been described as a “exciting” young player by football talent scout Jacek Kulig, he won’t be content with the amount of playing time he’s receiving, and it’s obvious that Farke doesn’t have him in his plans. For this reason, the 49ers would be better off selling him in 2024.

With a height of 6 feet 2 inches, the left-footed giant was the manager’s 28th best player overall out of 29 players in the squad before he left (WhoScored – Leeds statistics), demonstrating how little of an impact he makes when given the chance to play.

According to Transfermarkt – Hjelde statistics, the Nottingham-born defender has also not contributed to a goal or an assist in his two years at the team, so he is unable to participate in the attacking play from the back.

Even though Hjelde only makes ÂŁ2k a week, which puts him third-lowest paid player on the books (Leeds salaries), removing him from the payroll would gradually start to free up more money to spend on signing new players in the upcoming windows.
