The young player from Arsenal benefited long-term from his “ruthless” Blackpool experience, which is currently aiding him at Swansea City. Former Blackpool loanee Charlie Patino says he’s thankful for the spell he spent at Bloomfield Road.

The young player from Arsenal spent most of the previous season playing for the Seasiders, making 37 appearances while contributing four assists and three goals. The 20-year-old left on loan once more during the summer, this time to play for Swansea City, where he has scored four goals in 23 games since joining the Gunners.

In an interview with Sky Bet, Patino stated there was a discernible difference between youth football and Championship activity, and he felt he truly benefitted from it during his time on the Fylde Coast.

The young Arsenal player’s “ruthless” Blackpool experience paid off in the long run, and it’s helping him now at Swansea City.

“It was difficult at first because you had to recuperate and relax rapidly, eat appropriately, and get enough sleep. I’m rather accustomed to doing this now that I’ve settled into a routine and made it a habit. Switching between games is a lot of fun when you’re doing something you enjoy.

“I had an incredible experience with the Blackpool fans.” I’m grateful for the supporters because, as an 18-year-old playing professional football for the first time, they gave me a lot of support off the field.
