HITC Football is aware that, as the January transfer window approaches its last week, Everton is willing to consider bids for Ben Godfrey, following a great deal of conjecture on the future of the former captain of Norwich City.

Relegation-battlers Nottingham Forest, Sheffield United, and Luton Town are among the many English football clubs in the first and second divisions that have expressed interest to HITC. Leeds are also eager, but with so many Premier League teams in the running, it’s unclear if Godfrey would think about going down to the Championship.

HITC has received interest from numerous English football clubs in the first and second divisions, including relegation-battlers Nottingham Forest, Sheffield United, and Luton Town. Leeds is also keen, but it’s doubtful that Godfrey would consider playing in the Championship given the number of Premier League teams vying for a spot.

However, Leeds now have greater optimism because Daniel Farke is the manager at Elland Road.

Godfrey did, after all, become well-known in the English premier league while playing for Carrow Road under Farke.

The top center backs in the world right now may talk about their faults, but at 19 and 20 years old, Farke stated back in 2019, the year before Godfrey’s £20 million move to Goodison Park.

“The most successful ones pick things up. Ben is performing flawlessly, which is amazing.

He plays with a fair amount of emotion. That’s great news since it implies you can discover another piece of equipment.

HITC is aware that early this month, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur expressed interest. But since then, Tottenham has added Radu Dragusin from Genoa. According to his representative, Newcastle also had discussions with the £26 million Romanian, and manager Eddie Howe acknowledged that the team was having trouble adhering to Financial Fair Play regulations.

Arnaut Danjuma also could depart

Both AC Milan and Napoli, who were also disappointed not to get Dragusin, have their sights set on Godfrey. Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah is being considered by Napoli, the Serie A champions from the previous campaign.

Before the deadline in February, Wolfsburg, Roma, and Lyon might yet make their own approaches for Godfrey.

Arnaut Danjuma is another player who will be permitted to leave Everton, HITC has been informed. Under Sean Dyche, the Villarreal loanee has found it difficult to play regularly and has already decided to join Lyon, a struggling team in France.

Meanwhile, advanced negotiations are underway for Nottingham Forest to sign Gio Reyna from Borussia Dortmund.
