JUST IN: If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it Coventry Live

CoventryLive provides Coventry City team news as Sky Blues reporter Andy Turner tries to speculate on Mark Robins’ starting lineup for the Owls game.

This weekend, Coventry City will make their first of two journeys to Hillsborough in a span of seven days, traveling to Sheffield Wednesday to face an increasingly formidable Owls team. First up is this Saturday’s Championship matchup at CBS Arena against the third-from-bottom team, who went on a three-game winning streak following their 2-0 Boxing Day loss to the Sky Blues.

In the FA Cup fourth round, Mark Robins’ team will make the trip back to South Yorkshire on Friday. Judging on the Christmas fixture, this will be a difficult two games. It remains to be seen if the manager fully utilizes his team, but maintaining the club’s playoff spot will undoubtedly be his first priority as he looks to score more points.

Given this, it’s challenging to predict many changes to the starting lineup from the previous game against league leaders Leicester City. Victor Torp, a recent addition to the team, has only been there for a week. Given that he just returned from a five-week winter break, it seems doubtful that he will play, though he might make an appearance on the bench.

The only player in the camp who seems to be in serious concern is Haji Wright, who is likely to take some time to recover from his adductor injury sustained on New Year’s Day, even though he is now working back on the grass.

Here, Sky Blues reporter Andy Turner makes an effort to cast doubt on Mark Robins’ squad before they play the Owls.
