Erling Haaland celebrates Man City’s win over Newcastle with shot as he fawns over Kevin De Bruyne

Erling Haaland celebrated Manchester City’s victory over Newcastle with an unexpected shot, and he did not disguise his happiness.

After coming back from behind to defeat Newcastle, City is now two points behind league leaders Liverpool in their pursuit of the championship.

De Bruyne took just four minutes to score on his return to Premier League action

And Kevin De Bruyne, who returned to action after four months away in just four minutes, has Pep Guardiola to thank.

After an hour, the Belgian entered the game and utterly transformed it. He scored a wonderful goal to tie the score at two goals before setting up Oscar Bobb for the game-winning assist.

Haaland was overjoyed to watch from home due to an injury, posting on social media.

The Norwegian shared a number of images on his Instagram story, including one in which he celebrated by flexing his muscles and placing a king emoji on De Bruyne.

He also posted a picture of a shot of milk with the remark, “Need a shot after that.”

When Haaland said that milk was the secret to his goal-scoring skill, it was a reference to his unusual diet.

He shared a photo of himself with two bottles of the white liquid on social media last year, captioning it, “Me and my secret potion.”

Haaland was quick to gush over De Bruyne on Instagram

Haaland may return next month, although he is anticipated to miss the remainder of January due to injury.

It is a devastating loss for City, who are vying for the championship, but De Bruyne’s comeback will give them the confidence they need to pass Liverpool.

After a long absence, the midfield maestro scored in just a few minutes with a well-placed strike that went past Martin Dubravka.

Though he is accustomed to setting up goals for Haaland, on Saturday he assisted a different Norwegian, setting up Bobb with a laser-like pass in the opening minute of stoppage time.

After leaving Kieran Trippier on the deck and dancing around Dubravka to score a thrilling winner, the 20-year-old still had a lot of work ahead of him.

The Citizens striker celebrated wildly on Instagram

Bernardo Silva had scored City’s first goal with a lovely flick.

But Alexander fired off a rapid-fire double Isak and Anthony Gordon saw the game turn on its head.

Newcastle looked to defend after the break as City threatened before Guardiola sent De Bruyne to wreak havoc – and he promptly delivered

So wild, in fact, the City star needed a shot of milk
