‘Rolls-Royces’ According to a BBC expert, Leeds has two players who find the Championship “too easy.”

Two Leeds United players, in the opinion of BBC analyst Jon Newsome, occasionally find the Championship to be too simple.

Leeds defeated Cardiff City 3-0 to snap their three-match losing streak on the road. This was Leeds’ third consecutive victory by this score in all competitions.

Leeds’ scorers included Patrick Bamford, Georginio Rutter, and Dan James. Bamford, in particular, earned special recognition for his outstanding play since rejoining the team.

However, Newsome also praised the performances of Joe Rodon and Ethan Ampadu, who started side by side at center-back for the second time, in an interview with BBC Radio Leeds following the game.

After yet another outstanding defensive performance, he calls both players “Rolls-Royces” and feels that they sometimes find the Championship “too easy.”

“Good habits. The two centre-backs Rodon and Ampadu are like two Rolls-Royces at this level, the game is a little too easy for them at times.”

That is now three clean sheets in a row for Leeds, two of which have come with these two together at centre-back. Their chemistry from playing together for Wales is clear to see.

Leeds were without both Pascal Struijk and Liam Cooper this afternoon and despite the former’s superb season, it is arguably fair to say they weren’t overly missed.

Cardiff had one very timid shot on target across the whole 90 minutes and that is largely in part due to both Rodon and Ampadu being able to snuff out the danger very quickly.

Farke will certainly have a decision to make once Struijk returns from injury, as Ilia Gruev has also been hugely impressive in midfield, and it will take a big call to leave him out of the team.
