O’Hare, 25, has participated in 13 league games for Mark Robins’ team thus far, with three goals and one assist.

The previous time around, he was a great performer, starting in 45 Championship games and scoring 13 goals from midfield.

The talented midfield player’s current deal expires this summer after being extended two years ago.

When questioned recently regarding his contract status, O’Hare seemed more concerned with recovering from his injury.

It appears that he has been presented with a new offer, but it remains to be seen if this is sufficient for him to accept.

CONTRACT: Callum O'Hare signs new Sky Blues deal! - News - Coventry City

On his best day, O’Hare is among the greatest players in the division and one of the best players for the Sky Blues.

He deserves a high-end contract because he has more than demonstrated that he is a top-tier second-tier player.

He is almost reaching his prime at the age of 25, and he is starting to mature in the game. His recent performances have definitely attracted the attention of rival teams, and if a new deal cannot be arranged, Coventry City runs the terrible risk of losing him for free.

Although Coventry City’s season has improved under Robins, there is still work to be done and they need to maintain their proximity to the top six.

There’s no reason Coventry City can’t make back-to-back play-off finishes if they can maintain O’Hare healthy for the balance of the season.

Next up is a home matchup versus league leaders Leicester City in a rivalry game.
