‘Lost some of the spark’… Chris Sutton predicts Brighton v Tottenham result

Brighton, who has lost its previous three Premier League games, will look to bounce back against a Tottenham team that is starting to form.

Spurs, meanwhile, have triumphed in their previous three games, turning the corner after their dismal run caused by multiple injuries and bans.

Tottenham and Brighton have both discovered new personnel concerns. Kaoru Mitoma, who is expected to miss up to six weeks due to an ankle injury, is not available for the hosts.

Cristian Romero is sidelined for four to five weeks with a hamstring issue, so the visitors are without him in the interim.

‘We will get some goals’

Chris Sutton, writing on BBC Sport, has predicted who will win the encounter between Brighton and Tottenham.

According to the pundit, Spurs will prevail 3 – 2

to get over the halfway point in a thrilling five-goal battle between the two teams on the south coast.

Sutton wrote, “My initial thought is that we will get some goals.”

“You just never know what you are going to get from Brighton right now, good or terrible. Tottenham is still in the title chase, but they were fortunate to hold on and beat Everton.

“I can see the Seagulls pushing Spurs all the way. They have lost just once at home in the Premier League, though some of the spark they had last season has gone.”

TBR View: Tottenham ought to have enough to defeat Brighton.

Tottenham will undoubtedly feel more confident with their return to winning ways, but they will also likely be missing a number of important players.

But the Spurs ought to have more than enough to defeat the Seagulls. The assault is still potent, and players like Ben Davies and Emerson Royal have filled in admirably at the back.

Tottenham will win 2-1 on the south coast, in my opinion.
