How did Kompany get his team on the same page so quickly? In his postgame interview (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Kompany said that he accelerated his adaptation to the squad “by talking a lot to the players.”

Kompany also understands the sheer amount of strong opinions within the walls at Säbener Strasse. Kompany acknowledged that “…there are other people at the club who have known the players for longer. For me the most important thing is what I see. What the players have done in the past doesn’t matter to me. Things are getting better bit by bit.”
