Bayern Munich to pay 50% of player salary (roughly €3.5 million) while on loan

Bryan Zaragoza is nearing a loan to Valencia and Bayern Munich would pay 50% of his salary (roughly €3.5 million) to make the move happen:

Bryan Zaragoza is set to join Valencia on loan. Bayern will pay 50% of his salary (estimated at around €7m/year) during the loan. There’s still one detail left – Valencia owner Peter Lim has not given his final approval yet.

This would probably be the best scenario for the Spaniard for this season. Girona is also reportedly in the mix, but nowhere near as advances as Valencia at this stage.

BFW Analysis

It seems crazy that Bayern Munich is fretting the salary of Matthijs de Ligt — a top performer — when it has Zaragoza (€7 million), Leroy Sane (€20 million), Serge Gnabry (€18.9 million), Leon Goretzka (€18 million), Kingsley Coman (€17 million), Michael Olise (€13.5 million), and Kim Min-jae (€12 million) among others also receiving hefty salaries.

Anyway, the fact that Zaragoza making €7 million is ludicrous and someone should be looking closely at how and why Christoph Freund made that happen last winter.
