Nottingham Forest make £6m offer to sign winger

Nottingham Forest are determined to sign two new wingers before the new Premier League season gets underway.

Earlier today, Forest were linked with a move for Wesley and that would represent another signing from Corinthians.

There has also been some links with Ramon Sosa – although that deal is proving somewhat tricky to do.

Forest do have Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga within their squad but Nuno Espirito Santo is keen to improve the competition for places.

Now, it’s a case of another day and another link to an attacker, with another name now being thrown into the mix.

Nottingham Forest make offer for Jota Silva

The Vitoria Guimaraes winger is going to be a wanted man and now a couple of clubs are trying to land him.

According to the Portuguese outlet Record, Krasnodar, Forest and Panathinaikos are keen to secure the services of Silva.

It’s claimed that his departure could be ironed out in a matter of days with three concrete offers now on the table for the 24-year-old.

A fee of £5 million has been made by Forest with a serious of add-ons also included in the offer.

Krasnodar have offered a higher fee at this stage but it’s likely to boil down to the preference of the player – and surely the Premier League would be a desired destination.

Silva could prove to be an ideal Forest signing

This could prove to be an ideal signing and he’s renowned for playing mainly on the right flank – although he can play anywhere across the front line.

Last season, the winger scored 15 goals and registered seven assists whilst also picking up 11 yellow cards across the campaign.

Silva’s season has already got underway this term with the player scoring in a 1-0 win over Floriana in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifiers.

It certainly feels like Silva would fit in nicely at Forest and in comparison to Elanga and Hudson-Odoi, he did score more last season.

This feels like a deal that wouldn’t break the bank and in our view, this type of player would arrive at Forest with a bit of fire in his belly to succeed.

Once again he has a nice profile and as a 24-year-old he’s not reached his peak which would allow Forest some resale value too.
