Forest in talks with Talleres over Ramon Sosa deal

HITC understands that Forest are in talks with Argentine outfit Talleres over their winger Ramon Sosa.

Sosa’s agent has previously been very vocal about interest from Chelsea and Everton with the representatives of the Paraguayan admitting talks were held with the Toffees back in January.

“I was in England,” Sosa’s agent, Daniel Campos, told Diario Popular in January having held discussions with Goodison Park chief Kevin Thelwell. “I spoke with Everton’s sports director.”

The highly-rated Paraguayan international, as mentioned, has previously been linked with Chelsea and rivals Wolves, but now HITC can confirm Forest are hoping to seal his signature.

Forest had been looking to bring in a winger and has been linked with a number of names including Fiorentina’s Nicolas Gonzalez but Sosa is the one they are now working on.

Forest told what to expect from ‘technically gifted winger’

Argentine sources have told HITC that a fee of around €15 million (£12 million) is being discussed between the two sides for the transfer of Sosa. No agreement is yet in place for Sosa to move to Forest.

South American football expert Nathan Joyes has had his say on Sosa, who netted seven goals and provided six assists in 2024.

“Thrives in transitions, technically gifted, good in tight areas. Perhaps overlooked by many due to being 24,” Joyes said of Sosa.
