NFL Week 16 predictions: 49ers will take care of the Ravens
|DOLPHINS (-1.5) over Cowboys
Given the incredible records these two legendary teams have amassed this season, it should come as no surprise that this is a major headline match. Dallas and Miami have both finished the regular season with a 10-4 record. Given the location, Tua Tagovailoa and Miami have a slim lead.
BEARS (-4) over Cardinals
After Chicago’s regrettable late defeat in Cleveland, its postseason chances became less favorable. For the balance of this season and beyond, we expect bigger things to come for QB Justin Fields and other young Bears players. Bears defense could be expected to keep them competitive, particularly at home.
JETS (-3) over Commanders
Would prioritize looking to the Jets, as the Commanders’ defense was among the worst in the league the previous season, and it appears they haven’t improved much.
Colts (+1) over FALCONS
The Falcons trail the Buccaneers and Saints by one game in the NFC South, while the Colts are tied for first place in the AFC South with the Texans and Jaguars. The visitors are hoping that RB Jonathan Taylor’s comeback and WR Michael Pittman Jr.’s possible return will have significance. Furthermore, because the Falcons lack the kind of power we desire, we are hesitant to support them as they currently stand.
Seahawks (-2.5) over TITANS
This season, the AFC South isn’t exactly a dominant division, and the Titans are now in last place. Even though Seattle is playing on a short week after winning heartily over the Eagles on Monday, expect the Seahawks to out-finish Tennessee given the opposition this week. It looks like points will be scarce because the game’s line indicates to a low-scoring match.
Lions (-3.5) at VIKINGS
Jared Goff’s performance as quarterback for the Lions confirms Detroit’s preference, even though he must complete all the tasks in order to defeat the Vikings at home. Not too concerned about the Vikings’ present offensive capability.
Packers (-4.5) over PANTHERS
Packers have been playing better lately as their talent players continue to grow, and they have every intention of putting on a great show for ardent Cheeseheads. Lead by quarterback Jordan Love, the primary skill players for the Packers appear to be improving as a result. Panthers should struggle to stay up with the tempo.
Browns (-2.5) over TEXANS
Joe Flacco, the starting for Cleveland, will face underdog quarterback Case Keenum of the Texans, with C.J. Stroud probably still in the concussion protocol. We have greater faith in Flacco’s short-term chances as the Browns advance through the remaining games (Jets and Bengals) on their schedule.
BUCCANEERS (-1) over Jaguars
Baker Mayfield, the quarterback for the Bucs, has had difficult times playing as the favorite. Even so, if Jacksonville is the better option, we are still forced to consider Tampa Bay, even if we would be the first to argue that their running game needs improvement.
BRONCOS (-6.5) over Patriots
After a sluggish start, the Broncos are playing well currently and are only two games back in the competitive AFC West. This season, prefer head coach Sean Payton. They’ve triumphed in six of their last eight games, so going forward, we should anticipate Payton to continue coaching at his best.
Monday
EAGLES (-12) over Giants
Reluctant to embrace chunky double-digit favorites against lesser power-rated sides, but concerned about broad Giants effort if Big Blue loses a measure of contact, with the favorite side sailing along in front.
CHIEFS (-10) vs Raiders
Many may deem this a tough, bulky chalk piece they’re reluctant to follow. You have that right, but if Raiders slide into late-season decline, this could be an easy pickup.
49ERS (-4.5) vs Ravens
This could peak into one of the most avidly watched games of the year, providing it’s competitive and remains so through most or all of the full 60 minutes. Tough to fault a match of perhaps the league’s top duo. Reluctant to buck Niners in this matchup.
