Aston Villa have revealed a special, one-off kit that will be worn during the first two matches of pre-season.

An all-white adidas kit which bears the Aston Villa Foundation’s name across its front will be worn against Walsall tonight and against Spartak Trnava on Saturday.

It also features the club’s 150th anniversary marque on the rear collar, with dark accents across the kit.

The kit will not be available for retail but will be auctioned off after the matches against Walsall and Spartak Trnava, with all proceeds going directly to the Aston Villa Foundation.

Guy Rippon, Villa’s head of foundation and community, said: “All proceeds will be invested into the Foundation’s disability activities, a vital part of our work, which sees nearly 100 players represent Aston Villa in regional pan-disability leagues.

“The proceeds will also support sporting activities run for day care centres, in addition to youth clubs for children and young people with special educational needs.”

Next week, Villa will jet off to the USA for their Stateside tour, where they’ll play games against Columbus Crew, RB Leipzig and Club America.

Villa will be back at the Bescot in three weeks’ time to face Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday, August 7, before they head to Germany to play Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, August 10. Villa kick-off their Premier League campaign against West Ham at the London Stadium on Saturday, August 17.
