Philippe Clement names Rangers team to face Ajax as Tavernier & Cantwell miss out

The Ibrox club play in their first public pre-season friendly this afternoon in the Netherlands.

Rangers have played one match this summer but the 0-0 draw with Standard Liege was played behind closed doors.

This afternoon, supporters will catch their first glimpse of Rangers in action in pre-season preparations at the home of WHC Wezep – De Mulderssingel, Wezep, Netherlands.

Kick-off is at 4pm local team – 3pm in the UK.

Jack Butland starts in goal with Dujon Sterling, Connor Goldson, Ben Davies and Jefte in defence.

Mohamed Diomande, Nico Raskin and Kieran Dowell play in midfield with Tom Lawrence and Rabbi Matondo supporting Cyriel Dessers.

Despite a lengthy subs list, James Tavernier and Todd Cantwell do not feature in the matchday squad for Rangers despite being with their team-mates in the Netherlands.
