New transfer bid update as Everton offer 18-G/A ace personal terms amid Crystal Palace interest – view

Crystal Palace have entered the race to sign Everton target Jaden Philogene after tabling a bid to Hull City

The outlet reported on 5 July that the Eagles had made an offer to replace former star Michael Olise with the 22-year-old, after the Toffees and Ipswich sent contracts to him.

Crystal Palace bid for Everton and Ipswich target

A Camp Nou switch being dismissed clearly heightened the Toffees’ chances of landing the in-demand wide man, who scored 12 and assisted eight in the Championship last term.

But having apparently decided on a Premier League move it will necessarily reduced that opportunity again for Palace to have made an offer.

Everton appear to have a fair amount more manoeuvrability during this transfer window than they have had in the past couple but it would be a surprise if they were able to stretch too far to outbid rivals in terms of transfer fees or personal terms.

If Philogene sees an opportunity to fill the gap left behind by Bayern Munich signing Olise he could just as easily see one at Goodison Park, where Dwight McNeil and Leeds United loanee Jack Harrison are the only out-and-out wingers in the squad currently.

Iliman Ndiaye’s arrival provides cover but the Tigers youngster looks like he is ready for a second go at the top flight after a strong campaign in the second tier.

There is no shortage of interest so it won’t be an easy race to win and Everton may well not be the favourites, but they have made their interest clear and the decision doesn’t look far off.
